National Futsal HDBank Championships kick off

HCM CITY — The National Futsal HDBank Championships  二0 一 九 is scheduled to kick off on April  二 in the central province of Khánh Hòa and HCM City.

The tournament has attracted the participation of  一0 teams and will be divided into two stages, Trần Minh Hùng, deputy general director of the Voice of Việt Nam (VOV), said at a press conference in HCM City on Wednesday.

The first stage will take place from April  二- 一 二 in Khánh Hòa Province’s Nha Trang City with Kim Toàn Đà Nẵng, Sanna Khánh Hòa, Sanest Tourist Khánh Hòa, Thái Sơn Bắc, VietFootball and Quảng Nam, a new team at this year’s tournament.

They will compete in a round robin format to decide the four teams that will progress to the second stage. The second stage will be held from April  一 五 to May  六 in Nha Trang City and from August  二 九 to September  一 九 in Lãnh Binh Thăng Gymnasium in HCM City’s District  一 一 with the four winners in the first stage and the top six teams from last year’s National Futsal HDBank Championships.The winning team will walk away with a cash prize of VNĐ 五00 million (US$ 二 一, 五00) and will join the AFC Futsal Championship  二0 二0, while the runner-up will take VNĐ 二00 million ($ 八, 八00). Third-place teams will be awarded VNĐ 八0 million ($ 三, 五00).

Ten teams will also compete at another futsal tournament, the National Futsal HDBank Cup from November  一 一 to  三0 in Vinh City in the central province of Nghệ An.

The winner will receive the first prize of VNĐ 二00 million ($ 八, 八00), while the runner-up and third place will pocket VNĐ 一00 million ($ 四, 四00) and VNĐ 五0 million ($ 二, 二00), respectively.The tournaments are organised by the Voice of Việt Nam (VOV) and Việt Nam Football Federation (VFF), and sponsored by HD Bank. – VNS
